2017 Event

David Ross Sports Village

The David Ross Sports Village is a £40 million investment at the heart of the University of Nottingham’s University Park Campus. The new facilities have only been open since September and offer student, staff and public members an inspirational and accessible sports environment for all.

Alongside the 6 glass backed squash courts available on site, we have one of only four all-glass squash courts in the country. Our all-glass show court can seat over 250 spectators and has housed national competitions bringing in world-class players like Nick Matthew and Millie Tomlinson.

Current student athletes and scholars include Hana Ramadan, whose wins include three PSA World Tour titles and Owain Taylor, silver and bronze medal holder at European Team championships (2014, 2016). The University of Nottingham strives for excellence in squash and has come 4th in the British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS) league tables since 2015.

Car parking

Please be advised, during Monday to Friday the University has strict parking restrictions in place and during permit hours, spectators and guests will be required to use the pay and display system.  The pay and display meter is located to the side of the David Ross Sports Village on the corner near the nursery.

All spectators and guests must clearly display a valid pay and display ticket and use only marked/designated parking spaces. The David Ross Sports Village has ample parking facilities immediately around the sports centre and along Beeston Lane.

There is also a temporary overflow car park at the bottom of the David Ross Sports Village which is often opened during major events and will be clearly sign posted for spectators and guests if available (please note a valid pay and display ticket must still be displayed when using this space).
